Sushant Singh Rajput's Dil Bechara Friend Sahil Vaid On Not Being Able To Attend His Funeral: 'I Couldn't Feel More Helpless In My Life'-EXCLUSIVE
On June 14, 2020, Sushant Singh Rajput ended his life. His untimely death is something which his family, friends, fans and followers still cannot sink in. And one such person is his Dil Bechara co-star Sahil Vaid whom you saw playing the role of Jagdish Pandey (JP) in the film. Sahil bonded well with Sushant not only in the film but off-screen too while shooting for the film in Jamshedpur. The actor says he is unable to sink in his death.

In an exclusive chat with us recently Sahil revealed how he was not able to see Sushant for the last time and he still can't believe he is not in the world anymore. Sahil says, "I don't think I have still sunk in. I was watching the film and I thought he was alive and around somewhere. I don't know if it happened with the other people who watched the movie. It's weird but having gone through a lot in life myself. I lost my best friend already. I never thought anything would affect me more than this. But I remember the moment when I woke up and opened the Instagram account I read a post of Sushant's suicide, I was like kya bakwaas hai yaar. Aisa kaisa ho sakta hai? Especially because he was someone so lively, jovial and amazing. But then I scrolled down to another source that said the same thing and then almost every post was about this. And then I immediately called Mukesh Chhabra Sir and he didn't take the call. Next, I called Sanjana and she was crying a lot. With that, I came to know that yes he left us but I still want to hear that no it's not true. I want to see him with my own eyes. But that also was not possible".
Sahil went on to reveal, "The time it happened my building was sealed by BMC as a COVID patient was found in my building. And I wasn't allowed to go out. I couldn't feel more helpless in my life. As I tried my best to get permission from all authorities and by the time I managed to get permissions his cremation was done. Still, there is a lot of regret attached to this whole scenario. At times I just feel that it's a dream I am going to wake up and everything will be normal. He will be there. I will make a phone call to the guy and say 'bhai tujhe pata hai kya his."
